FUTURE BUSINESS

Good day my fellow muggles!

True, true, but no magic outside of Hogwarts.

Well, now I officially feel like some form of older sister, as I am pestering Eric to either stop playing Team Fortress two for seven hours straight, (slight over reaction) or other numerous things that seriously need to stop. (like fessing up to things) I'm not going to blog about my host brother being annoying the whole time, and instead, blog about the future! But please CHILD. LEARN SOME RESPECT PLS.

First of all, I can't wait to visit Portland and Seattle!

During spring break! I'm all excited and such now.
Aaaaaaand another thing that happened today is a fire drill. Yes. You heard right. A fire drill in Alaska. So we stood for 15 minutes in the cold and snow. It sucked. The end.

AND NOW FOR SOME GIFS.

Love you guys lots~

Gif Spam of Memories!

So I'd just like to say......

JK I have none.

This post will be mostly a bunch of gifs that I found that struck up memories, or that I just love in general. Maybe you like the movie or have seen it with me? Or you like the character? Or I showed it to you? Either way, I hope you enjoy these awesome gifs~ <3

My host-sister is thirteen, going on fourteen, and she's REALLY tall. I feel short around her. Seriously.

Keep dreaming Pippin.

Life and Stuff

How's it rolling my friends?

I've gained over 300 views from all sorts of places, and it's really nice to see that people are actually reading this. No emails or such, but I do get page views on my blog!
I'd just like to say:

and you are welcome for the Hiddles.

Okay, back to business.
Well, I've had a great time so far, even if a lot is stressful, the teachers are extremely nice and relaxed. (Because I am such a procrastinator. sorry.) No, but in all seriousness, I'm great over here. I've gained some friends, reconnected with some, and made quite a few acquaintances. We just finished reading the Greek play Antigone in English and are going to do some Shakespeare later this term. Biology is fun, learning about all the germs and sicknesses that have the potential to kills you. (yay) Algebra is never fun, so what can I say? still as boring as in Germany. Sorry Mr. J. Art is amazing, and so is the teacher! The people are nice too. The anime guild is great, made a few friends there, and we watch anime every Tuesday at lunch! It's great. History, is nice too. We're learning about Asia, we just finished up India. I think I missed China though. =.= German is fun, and the people are really nice there too. Since I'm sort of the grammar police, I have a hard time not correcting the intern teaching us at the moment. But it's cool, I still am keeping my German in pristine condition.

Another thing is that this school is very diverse! I see more asians and natives than caucasians these days! I think thats great, because Phorms is basically almost all caucasians, and it's a nice change for me. It's really quite international!

I'm starting to feel a little homesick.

It's funny, because a lot of what I think of turns up in my dreams. (I've always dreamt about things that my mind keeps locked up. Like my fears. *shiver* I dreamt of a zombie apocalypse the other day.) So now a days, I keep dreaming of random people! Like one day my bff's are fighting t-rex's with me, or some random person from my class is in a crowd in my dream. It's crazy.
I just get these random homesickness attacks, usually in the morning, or before I go to bed. It would be nice getting en email or two you know guys...... from my friends...... please?

Well, I hope everyone is healthy and happy!

Love,

Cranberry <3

Filling You In

Hey there my fluffy owlets!

I'm back and healthy than ever before!

So as some of you might have heard, I was sick for a while, catching it off of my host-dad and the mangle of germs at school most likely. So I drank lots of tea, slept with a humidifier in my room, and blew my nose. A LOT. And slept. So now I'm feeling much better! (and lots of nice steamy showers.)
School was out on monday due to icy roads. I saw someone come around the corner of one house and slide into a ditch of snow. He proceeded to get out of his car and take a snow shovel out of his truck and dig his car out. Then the next person came and almost slid into him, but stopped (luckily) and started to help the first guy. We also slid down the hills in the car which was a bit nerve wracking. (and then imagine what it was like in the school bus....)
Since I had so much free time on monday, besides doing homework, I worked on a paigeeworld tutorial! here's a sneak peek:

It's going to be painted with some water color! for those on paigeeworld, she's paingu's chara Aoi.
Potato you should know who that is. I also got my glasses in the mail! They look great and I can finally see! I am constantly looking at every little detail of everything now. and I'm not blind..........
here's a small sneak peek:

They have the coolest design on the side. Nice and geometric. And artistic.
I realized how much I love piano music, because my host-sister plays the piano. She has this ritual to play The A-Team, and Fur Elise. (sometimes the intro for Downton Abbey, or a Twilight piece) but I always enjoy hearing her play, it's really nice and calming. Sort of like soul music! So thank you Juliana for always playing your piano, I enjoy it! (and will miss it when I'm back in Germany.)

Hope you enjoyed this post,
luv you adorubus.

OWL OUT.

A Small Summery

Good day my red snow pandas!

I'm good, what about you? Over here it is obviously snowy and cold. Slipped on the road walking the other day, and landed on my butt. Yes. That is completely normal. I know.
Well, school is great and I made another few friends in my biology class and history class. One is a Brony. Which is good, because then I can tell you guys this, and be open about it.

I HAVE A CONFESSION. I AM A BRONY.

AND I DON'T CARE IF YOU AREN'T.

{Whatever, pegasister if you wanna be correct on terms.......}

seriously though, the show gets addicting. It doesn't really repeat itself, the animation style is cute, and good quality, the voice actors are amazing, (Tara Strong! <3) and the character design always surprises me! Also, the people in the fandom are fairly nice, and friendly. The merch is great too! I loathe those who have a plushie of Doctor Whooves~ >3<
Anchorage has treated my well so far, and my glasses should be here soon so I can finally see better...... I feel so blind.........

The school is great, teachers are nice, people are nice, my advisory group is nice, the only thing is that we get double the amount of homework as in Germany. and everyday. But the homework (except for math) is fun, like web searches, or a cell project, or maybe an ABC book about India ...... etc. It's great overall.
My host family is the best, too. They are really nice people that my mom and auntie have known since high school and I am already friends with the two kids. Juliana, and Eric are my host-siblings, and my host-mom and host-dad are Tim and Anne. Amazing people. My life is great at the moment.

Yet I must complain on one upsetting matter.
that my school starts at 7:30 am.
and I get up at 5:30 every morning.
Hate it.

And now I will leave you.

The East High Experience

Hey my fluffy pandas~ *chu*

So here is how my monday and tuesday went!

So this monday as you know I started at my new high school. I woke up around 5:30 am, ate brekkie, and hopped in the car with my host mom. We drove there and went to the registration office, but it turns out we didn't have to be there until 7:00! (she heard it was 6:30) So I got a tour of the school! It's HUGE. I think I'll try to post a picture of the commons and hallways with my phone sometime........ since my school in Germany has around 250 students, this high school is humongous, having over 2100 students from grade 9th to 12th. They have a swimming pool, and gym and houses and..... a library with graphic novels and manga! (heaven!) I have only six subjects which is a huge difference to Germany, but I got homework on the first day in each subject! it was possibly as hard as usual. After three periods, (studying India in World History) I had lunch break where I took my lunch into the Anime Guild classroom, and met some really nice people there~! Same with my art class. I love it!

(according to a friend, my new nickname is X.)

Today was the same, but today I used the bus and got to school that way. When going home I sort of got on the wrong bus, (one number over the one I took to school....) and had to be taken back to the school. Mix up with the buses, check. So that scared me a bit today.

okay, well I need to get to bed here soon people, because I collapse every day after school for a nap before homework. I didn't have one today so gotta go to bed early~ night night!

The Cold North

Hey guys~

How's it going everyone?
Well, tomorrow is my first school day at East, and I am super excited! I will definatly fill you in with another post tomorrow, when I get home from school and write all about it and the differences!
Okay, so I am so super excited because I found one of my most favorite mangaka's mangas in barnes & nobles the other day and have gotten HOOKED on it. I have actually chatted with the mangaka before she made it because I found her on deviantart after reading her previous series Blood Relatives.
She gave me great tips about how to get into the drawing industry and what she uses. (Her name is Rem) Here is the cover of the first book:

It is amazing! (such a better story than twilight!) It is kind of hard to understand, but you can look up the original book online. I got a giftcard to barnes & nobles, so I decided to spend it on a little bit on manga~ I got book two for the Witch and Wizard series, also based on a book. (manga is done by my idol, Svetlana Chmakova) Rem had posted on her dA site that it was released into book stores, but it never came to Germany (yet) so I was kind of disappointed. But I walked into the bookstore, went to the manga section and behold, there was Soulless, book 1 and 2!

So I was pretty happy about that.
One thing I have to mention before I finish this short post is that I have noticed that people in Anchorage have been leaving their car on while they go into a store or a restaurant. It's funny, because we have been having a small 'heatwave' here. Not like really hot, we still have snow and can see our breaths, it's just not as cold as usual. (I guess)
I am so excited for tomorrow! ~~~

Luv you guys and signing off,

Cranberry

Airplanes & Arrivals

Merry late christmas, and soon a happy new year!

Hey guys, I'm writing from Las Vegas~ Here it's sunny and clear skied, but we had some slush/rain this morning. So let's sum up the last few days.

On the 24th in Germany we safely got on the plane, no complications, and took of on our 8 hour+ flight. (saw quite a few movies. Total Recall, Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter, and ... Alvin and the Chipmunks just because they are way too cute.) We got into Philadelphia and had 2 hours to run around the airport and wait for our flight. We got on our flight (it's crazy how different it can be to be around people who speak english ALL THE TIME since I haven't had that since about 3-4 years.) After a bit of de-icing the plane we took of on another 4 hour flight and finally got in to Las Vegas at 9:30 pm. My mom and I got picked up by the family and I got some sleep at my cousin's house.
Next morning we all gathered at the cuzzie's house and had a present opening session.

The last two weeks we have been simply chilling, or hiking. The one place that I must write about is a store called The Hobby Lobby. For those who don't know it, it's like a huge kautbullinger, for those in Germany. IT HAS EVERYTHING that an artist could wish for, watercolor sets, sewing fabric, stickers, beading, pendants, sketchbooks, tutorial books..... etc. The only thing that I was disappointed by was their lack of copic markers, and prismacolors. They had a few copics, but it was hardly any to actually work with. If I hadn't set a budget, I would have spent all my money there in one day.
The other thing is that it seems that I'm getting glasses again! we checked my eyesight the other day, because it always seems blurry when I am looking at things faraway. I'll probably post some pictures when I get them in a week.

We also saw The Hobbit, rewatched Star Wars 1 & 2 and Rise of the Guardians again. And because I enjoy featuring art, here is some fanart.

I'm gonna end this post with a picture! Looking forward to starting school and meeting new people.

Cause' we're that awesome.
